American Cancer Society
The American Cancer Society helpline provides 24/7 support by trained Cancer Information Specialists who can provide guidance and help find answers through phone, video calls, and online live chat. Assistance is available in English, Spanish, and 200 other languages via translation service. As needed those specialists can connect you to Nurse Support (oncology and pediatric oncology nurses to assist with more medically complex questions) and Health Insurance Assistance Service (trained specialists to help with questions about options and rights relating to health insurance and coverage). Breast and Cervical Cancer Program (Health First Colorado)
This program is the Health First Colorado’s (Colorado Medicaid) treatment program for women who have been diagnosed with breast or cervical cancer. Contact the Colorado Department of Health Care Policy and Financing at 303-866-2993 for information.
Breast Cancer Support Group
This group meets the fourth Thursday of each month in Dolores. Contact 970-759-9623 for information.
Cancer Resource Center of Durango
Located inside of Mercy Medical Center, Suite 228 (next to Mercy Surgical Welcome Center). They have cancer information available, and will help find accommodations for those traveling over 50 miles to receive treatment in Durango. They also have head coverings, mastectomy and surgical bras and knitted prostheses available. Call 970-403-0086 for information.
Cancer Support Community Southwest Colorado

Clara Ormiston Trust
This program helps residents of Montezuma County with health care costs for cancer treatment. The program is administered by the Montezuma County Department of Social Services. Call 970-564-4138 for information.

Journey of Hope Fund
This programs provides free mammograms and other diagnostic imaging for patients who come to Mercy Medical Center who cannot otherwise afford them. This program is administered by Mercy Hospital Foundation at Mercy Regional Medical Center in Durango. Contact 970-764-2515 for information.

Women’s Wellness Connection
This program provides eligible women who live in Colorado free breast and cervical cancer screenings. The WWC provider serving southwest Colorado is LaPlata County Public Department in Durango. Call 970-247-5702 for information.
